And now the Garden Party/Live at the Troubadour SD11 ZB is also on Ebay.
The guitar has plaque saying: "Custom built for Tom Brumley."
And the flight case has Tom Brumley and Rick Nelson stencilled in.

BEAUTIFUL guitars & both are pieces of steel guitar history..I wish I could afford either of them.
I hope they go to some one who will play them on "special occasions" since they probably won't go to a museum..Ron

| I had one of those cut-tail zb's and it played the smoothest of any of them and the other two played great. The Rick Nelson guitar makes me want to go nutty and get out the checkbook. I still listen to "live at the troubador". Hope someone from the forum gets these. |

Yep. I got to see that "Live at the Troubadour/Garden Party" guitar, and it is just about the prettiest ZB I`ve ever seen.
And on that live recording from Los Angeles, this guitar really shines.

That's how. The song is on Mr. Yoakam's 1987 record. Plus, it's an album cut, not a radio song, so that makes it much easier to miss.

Is the one with the placque the one played on the "Rudy the Fifth" album?
got my answer- the plaque horn is apparently a '72, RTF was released '71. |
