Topic: Anybody using a Korg Pandora? |

I have a Korg px4d Pandora on it way and I was wondering if anyone on the forum has had successful results with the Korg? Reverb, Delay, Chorus, Phaser, Rotary?

I have one here that I've played around with on 6 string, I haven't tried it with a steel. I like the sounds, and it is a really compact unit. Someday I'll try it with a steel. These would make a really good practice rig with headphones.

| I use one for my practice setup at home with headphones (yay metronome, yay ability to pitch-shift music coming in from the ipod). Not excited about any of the built-in sounds, personally. |

Me too. Not enough clean (non-distorted) sounds for my use with steel but I'll throw it in my packaseat with a set of headphones to use when tuning up or practicing in noisy places

| I have one and I like it. Very compact, and very good for practice with headphones and for searching sounds. But, for reverb+delay, I prefer the Boss RV3 on stage. |

I use an older PX-3 for practice with headphones. Guitar in plus aux in (from my MAC so I can feed CD's, MP3, iTunes, BIB, etc into the mix) headphones out. I use settings I found in the forum archives. Settings from PX-3 and PX-2 are different from PX-4 but close enough that this this link might give you some ideas:

Thanks for the informative replies guys,
The Pandora should be coming in sometime this evening so I will post my first impression critique probably tomorrow.
Does anyone have any cool Pandora setting they would like to share? |

I've been eyeing the Pandora's as a recommendation for a headphone practice amp, glad to see some of you like it for that.
I haven't tried any of them yet, but thought it's odd that on the PX4, some input jacks are on the BOTTOM of the unit, so you can't stand it up next to you in a music stand. Pretty stupid design, I thought. The PX5 has all inputs on top where they belong.
How good is the pitch shifting, tuner, etc.?

John, the PX4 has a belt clip, that's why the jacks are on the bottom.

Still a bad design, if you ask me, and thanks for asking, Darvin! Ha.
The teeny little Line 6 Pocket Pod Express also has a belt clip, but all jacks are on top, so it's very easy to use wherever you like.
How do you like yours?
