I'd like to say thanks to the house band and all the players for making our Steel Show a success. I think the show was a huge success again this year. If anyone has suggestions as to how to improve the show, feel free to let me know. Again thanks you guys and gals for all you do.

The staff bands that play the Quad Cities, Wisconsin and Waterloo shows/jams are a pleasure to hear and have behind you on stage. And Roger Miller (guitar) is the staff lead player for all three of these shows. He's a musical memory bank of all types of music. And we've figured out a way to keep him out of the restroom and on the stage at all times with the Dighton Poop-A-Seat.
Observation: I've noticed the quality of the individual steel playing skills have improved over the past 5yrs. The comaraderie combined with the incentive to play to the next level seems to shine through at each jam. Even Roger Miller has recently been working out on steel. We'll probably get to hear him soon. And Kirk Dighton is getting scary after a short amount of time at the seat.
Keep it up guys! It gives those of us that have been playing 30+yrs the incentive to work harder to stay in the race.
And the Gilbert (father/son) sound team did a great job also.
Dennis

Ditto, ditto, and ditto. We had ourselves a ball, and thanks for letting Tim Harr and I come over and play a set. Tom Pickett, JR, and Roger Miller, and Jerome (Bass player extraordinaire) played with us and I can tell you it was a REAL PLEASURE. Sorry, I didn't catch Jerome's last name, but all 3 of them did one bang up job, and we could not have asked for better. Thank you so much to all of you. Hope to see many of you in East Peoria at our show, the last Sunday in June, from 10 to 10. (Shameless plug) http://takeoff.to/steeljam.
I'm still feeling good from the show. Wish we could have stayed for the whole thing.

Mike Webb was over with us and his band City Limits were playing at Chaps. Joe Wright showed up there after his last set, and sat in with Mike and the gang, and he played Mike's Emmons the rest of the night, and then some. Man, I hate I missed that, but needless to say, Mike filled us all in, and has pics posted.
Here's the link, if it works. http://www.citylimitsband.com/PhotoPage/05-0423JoeWright/JamminwithJoeWright/index.html
(Hope that's ok with everyone)

Thanks to all of those at the Quad Cities Show. I played with Bobby Duncan on his set (after Bruce).

I hope to get the chance to play again next year!

Hey Bruce, Tom (Sr), and the rest of the gang--Congrats on another good show last Saturday! Enjoyed the camaraderie and sharing by all the musicians there. Always great to have Rog providing leadership for the house band and, of course, a pleasure to experience Joe's performance. ...lefty

Just adding my congratulations to all of you for a great show. I have to honestly say the Quad Cities show is one you don't want to miss. I have been trying to get up there for years and finally made it. Had to leave early to get back for a gig but heard some great playing. You guys should be very proud of the job you did and ditto on the staff band. You can't have a show without great backup players and I was very impressed with the staff players. It was great to meet some of the guys who hang out here on the forum too. I thought Bobby Duncan and Tim Harr did a fine job of picking together especially since it was a last minute throw together. They worked the set out on the drive from Peoria to Quad Cities. I would also like to invite everyone that attended the Quad Cities show to come to E Peoria on Sun June 26 for Steel Jam 05. We are hoping to have a great turn out. For more info please visit the website...Again Thanks guys for a great show...

Hey Rich-
I'm not sure I can make the show, it's a HELL of a long drive for me, now that the bridge is closed!

This was a great jam to play. I am very thankful for Dennis Detweiller's patience for beating some of these licks in to my head. The last four months have really made a difference for me. Lot's o seat time!

You just can't beat the friendship that we all have gained at these events.

FYI- If anyone would like to order the "Dighton Poop-A-Seat" just e-mail me and I'll start production. These come in handy for those long practice sessions, or if you decided to eat some of Dino's Taco Soup before the gig!
Great job by Bruce and all for the Quad Cities Steel Show.
