Hi All

I would like to know what the base frequencies are for each of the strings on the E9 tuning. I can find charts that list the frequencies for each note (C0 - DCool, but I don't have a piano readily handy to figure out which octave each of the strings are in this scheme.

Thanks!

I play my guitar off of piano music but, I believe to be correct, I should be playing off of music an octave higher.

Steven, if you are asking for real frequencies - not just "pitch relative to A = 440Hz" as shown on most tuners, then you can pick them out here...

That chart is for my "irregular" 10 string extended E PSG, but all frequencies for base notes and pedals on regular E9 PSGs are there - both for "JI" and "ET" tunings.

Erv, I believe guitar notation is written one octive higher, piano should be correct. Middle C on guitar notation is the 2nd space below the high E space. Piano is between the staffs.

Delvin,
Yes, that's what I thought.
I have seen the proper notation for guitar and it is very confusing! Very Happy
