I'm a beginner but I swear there's a C6 on Columbus Stockade Blues from the Little Darlin era. I've heard that most of the steel work on Paycheck's early stuff was Lloyd Green. Is this a different picker? Thanks, curious in Texas

Jeremiah,
Lloyd did indeed record Columbus Stockade Blues in the era you mention on the C6th and played the heck out of it. Lloyd was a great C6th player, with as much spirit and taste as he plays E9th.

Thanks gents, that clears up my confusion. He kills with both necks. I'm learning that the c6 sound can be faked pretty well on E9, but I was sure I heard a boowah bomb in there.

hey Jeremiah, there's also a really cool instrumental version that Lloyd cut on a very early album. Also C6. Lemme know if haven't heard that.
