Hello all -
Putting the feelers out, as they say.
What I have is a mid-70's S10 Push/Pull (4 pedals/4 knees, standard Emmons with Franklin on P4) that was red sunburst and rough, but has been lovingly restored to a sweet clear satin nitro. Front apron features a lot of nice birdseye. Upgraded the tuners to new vintage Kluson style. Total undercarriage rebuild. Not a perfect push/pull, case is rough but perfectly functional. Sounds great.
I'd like to get into an SD10 Rains.
A link with pictures will follow sometime this weekend. Just wanted to get the ad posted and test the waters.

Mike

Yes - it is a GREAT sounding Emmons. I am more of a SD10 guy, have gotten comfortable and it's not easy for me to get used to switching back and forth. I have a D10 P/P and I will be keeping that.
As far as "not a perfect P/P" - all I meant is that this is a player guitar, not a collector piece. Rough flocking, finish imperfect in places, but... cleaned and olied, new tuners, new fretboard, re-jeweled the neck...
Too many guitars and I'd love to try the Rains... that is my story.
Best,
Mike |

Hey Mike,
I was thinking about posting an '84 Emmons S12 - 7/4 but I guess I had better wait a while. It might get confusing since we both have the same name , huh? Maybe I will post my picture since we don't favor that much. Good luck on selling your steel.

that sounds like a cheap price for a good-playing one
I can understand that a worn-out but perfect-looking, say, Sho-bud, might be worth more than a 'player' thats a tiny bit rough around the edges.
But these PPs being what they are - as much a beauty in the engineering as in the cabinetry - I reckon a 'player' would have to be more valuable than a museum piece. In a perfect world.
Sounds like a great deal - would love to see some pictures. |

Note: the cat was inspecting the undercarriage and he has since deemed it satisfactory. Wants you all to know the serial # is 1397.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Sorry, I misplaced an email someone sent. Anyway, to whom it may concern, I am not interested in a Fessenden at this time. Lovely guitars, to be sure, but I am focused on the brands/models mentioned. |

I would love to own/operate an Emmons gtr like this! If it still had the "beat", original sunburst, I'd be on it like a bum on a baloney sandwich! New satin nat'l is not my style...gotta be somebody's style, tho! |
