Forumte Pat Goodbla fronts the PNW version of the "Time Jumpers", with Dean playing Steel, Keith Holter on his Bigsby guitar, Rudy Alexander on bass and the rest. Kevin Healy, holding the best PNW fiddler title (in my book) shared with James Mason (not in attendance) and Dave Holter on drums, playing the REAL stuff as best I remember hearing it.
Their Webpage with dates, clips etc. I think I took the clip they posted so they never charge me cover....
They played at The Spare Room this afternoon.
Wow!.
Triple harmonies on as many GREAT old standards as you have time to hear. Big Beaver, Time Changes Everything, Bubbles in my Beer...
These guys are the real thing.
Maybe Pat G would be good enough to fill us in on the upcoming dates they have planned.
I can't say enough about them, and especially my old friends Dean, Rudy and Keith.
Dean has played the best stuff around here for thirty years that I know of. Now he's got a Zum, but I remember a SHo~Bud and I think a Fender.
Anybody that gets a chance should go out and see and hear them.
Even Ray, and if I see one sour word typed about them I'll smear his ears with rasberry jam, and tie him to an anthill.
Wish I could make their Everett WA show, but I've gotta be around that weekend.
Anyhow, they MORE than deserve to be seen and heard by anyone that can.
JMHO.

These guys are the real deal! I've had the great opportunity to jam with them at Western HIlls. (They were the guys in the front jam room.) Always a great mix of western swing and jazz. Some of my favs... _________________ D-10 JCH Dekley U-12 D-8 Magnatone Mullen RP Evans RE 200 profex 2 BJS bars

Just a note to you Eric.........
Whenever there's 'the slighest possibility' that you might be there, anywhere, in the audience, Sally and I make it a point to avoid the place.
Most assuredly, we're missing out on some good music by some fine local musicians however, realizing that my just being there 'ANYWHERE' in the same place with you, is enough to motivate you, it seems, to a point where you start posting undeserved, scathing remarks about me on a public forum. No THANKS! |

I only get to visit with these great musicians one or two weekends a year, but after the last few years of sharing western swing venues with them all I can say is they are the nicest folks, and just the finest of musicians.
Hey Longhorns, can't wait to see you guys again this summer! _________________ Dave Wren

Yeah, they're the real deal alright.
Ray.
No need to take it so personally. I'm just chiding you in a good natured way for your sometimes negative comments toward local musicians.
I don't feel good a lot of times lately, and don't get out as much as I would like to unless I'm doing a gig.
Don't worry about it.
Sorry if I offended your finer sensibilities..
