A lot of folks said the Franklin listed here last fall wouldn't fly at 12,500. But it flew. Given it was a lot more guitar and a little later model. So I wouldn't bet the farm on weather this one will fly.

The one a few weeks ago was listed for $7000, and i'd call three days flying. The J.D. Maness guitar flew in one day. The only Franklin I've ever seen not fly, was a single neck. D-10 Franklins have wings.  |

| Pardon my ignorance, but, exactly what makes the Franklin steel guitar so special? I can usually recognize a player on a recording, but I can never distinguish what guitar he might be using. |
