Boss came out with some pedals that model the vintage bassman (fbm1) and deluxe reverb (fdr1) amps. Does anyone know if you could plug one of these straight into a direct box without using an amp whatsoever? it would be nice to leave my amp at home if I am playing somewhere through their board |

Yes James, these two units are pre-amps. I run mine into the power amp in and completely by pass the combos pre-amp. I also run them into my power amps.

Thanks Curtis, I'm a little confused cause I'm new to all the amps/ elextronics stuff. What do mean when say you plug it into the power amp? Does that mean that I would need to have my personal amplifier there? |

James,
That was a little muddy. That is two different ways I use mine. If your combo amp has an effect loop, plug the pedal out into the amp in jack or(return jack).
The other way is if you are using a power amp only or going to the board, just plug in to the in jack.
Hope that is clear if not send a phone contact number on the PM I'ii call you back.
