I use a non-pedal 10 string tuning on the back neck of my guitar. It is G6, low to high: EGBDEGBDEG. If you were tuning this, how, or would you change it from 440hz. I use a version of JI on my E9 neck...a la Jeff Newman's chart, but have always tuned 440 on my other tunings, that is dobro, lap steel etc. It's not souding right to me now, how would you "sweeten" the tuning? Please make your statements in +/- cents, as the Hz way of explaining tuning makes no sense to me. I'm just uneducated in all that.
No help to be found on the non pedal section yet, thought I'd ask here too. _________________ RICK ABBOTT

I guess a better question would be: If the intervals are the same between the notes would a chart for A6, C6, B6 or any 6th work to help G6 sound better with other instruments (bass and guitar)?? _________________ RICK ABBOTT

Thanks b0b. I saw your C6 tuning article and wondered if there would be a similarity. I'll go try it right now! _________________ RICK ABBOTT
