Asher lap steel

I recently purchased an Asher Model 1 electro-hawaiian lap steel from a forum member.

I'm taking a few minutes break from practicing to report that this is one most enjoyable experiences of my musical life. Man, I just love the way this thing plays. Pretty much everything has taken a back seat and plugging it into my Vox Tonelabs SE, with the headphones is just fantastic. What a great, great instrument. I few years ago I played a lot of steel guitars, from dobros, to weissenborns, to lap steels and pedal steels and this guitar is the finest of them all. I'm addicted.

Yea, congratulations on your purchase. Bill Asher does really good work. I have one of his Asher Classic models and also love to play it.

I've become sort of friends with Bill and Jessica (his wife) and really enjoy my visits to LA when I can swing by his shop and see all the new goodies he's working on....he's got one in the oven for me at the moment.

Really great guy.
