I was asked by No Depression host Iaan Hughes to come up with an instrumental for his intro and outro. I put together a little ditty featuring lap steel with some acoustic and elec. back-up. I recorded this a week ago and he's got it on the latest show.
Not sure how to link straight to it, but if you google "no depression indie roots music podcast" it will take you to their home page and then hit play and I'm on. _________________ www.facebook.com/countrydaveharmonson |

Note: on Dave's myspace page, you have to scroll down to the song "No Depression Theme" to select it.
So what was your setup in recording this? What guitar and tuning did you use? _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

Hey thanks, guys. You're making me blush.
I played my Fender Deluxe 6 which is the model with Stringmaster type of pick-ups. I tune it to standard dobro tuning low to high GBDGBD. I played it through a Fender Blues Junior with a Boss ME-50 multi effects unit with just a little bit of overdrive and analog delay. The drum track was from pro tools. I played the bass (Fender Precision) in a newish Ampeg. The G and L through the Blues Junior with just analog delay and the acoustic guitar miked.
Thanks again for the nice words. Coming from players of your caliber means alot. _________________ www.facebook.com/countrydaveharmonson |
