I posted a new song on my webpage, "Do It Now." It features Bobbe on pedal steel, ripping it up. Check it out and let me know what you think. By the way, other session personnel on this one are Carco Clave on trumpet, Jimmy Clark on trumpet, Ike Brantley and Earl Lett (Florida Bill) on saxes (Earl played with Ike and Tina back in the day), and Bob Babbitt on bass. Bob joined The Funk Brothers as bass player on the Motown records when James Jamerson passed away. _________________ Scott Shipley Facebook |

How about a link to your web page? I'd rather not go through Myspace or Facebook to find it. |

The vocal, drums, and saxes sounded great. I couldn't hear any trumpets, but maybe they were blended well enough with the saxes that I couldn't tell.
What little steel playing there was didn't sound anything like Bobbe Seymour to me. Maybe that's just his way of fitting himself to the part and purposely trying not to sound like himself. |

Thanks Jim, the trumpets were doing the chord pads at the intro, turn-around, and outro. There was no electric guitar on the song, only acoustic arch-top. Bobbe was doing his thumbstyle throughout. Kinda Merle Travis-ish. He is an awesome picker, he can fit into and stand out on anything he plays on.
The rest of the personel were Rick Lonow on drums, Terry Kinakin on tenor banjo, and me on guitar and vocals.
