A friend has bought an older "Fuzzy" S10 3+4 which seems to have a pull-release type undercarriage -- the question I have is what is the correct way to tune the pedals and knees ? It has Phillips head type screws on the end plate... and nylon tuners on the ends of some of the rods underneath - I have no experience with this type of mechanism so any advise would be gratefully received. The guitar has a nice bit of natural birdseye in the body, very much like a ShoBud with an ali neck.
thanks

If it's pull-release, it might be like the old MSA sidekick/redbaron where the levers are tuned with the pegs and the release are tuned with the set screws...

Perhaps pics would help the more experienced....

That is right for the older pull-release steels like a maverick or sidekick. Turn it upside down and study how it works and it will make sense to you then. The Stage One is a pull release system but you adjust the raises on it with nylon hex tuners like an all-pull and lowers with allen set-screws. I could not picture how it worked till I seen one and then it was clear as day. They are all pretty simple once you look them over underneath and see how they designed it.

Thanks guys, I don't actually have the guitar but had a quick look at it last night ! I will have to have a play around with the mechanism once I figure out how it functions.
