Hi fellows,
I know you have never heard of me, my name is richard shive, called, dick, and some other things, read about your comments on the A6th on the back neck of your D-10. I gave up on my D-10, have had several, and other u-12's. What I'm playing now is a Fessenden U-12 7-Pedals, 4-knees, and 1-up lever. I started playing lap steel at 16 yrs. and I am 78 now and just won't quit, I'm a steel lovin country lovin wooman lovin old cuut. When I sit down to play my steel I just go to another world, I call it steel guitar heaven and hours go by before I come out of my trance and get up for a the john and a drink, in that order of course.
Now back to the steel, Attached I am hopefully sending a combination tuning chart A6th, also showing the pedals to use to get the chords and the strings to pick to play them. I have only proof read this one time so I hope there aren't any mistakes. This is my own creation and there are more chords than I show here, I just didn't have room on this sheet for them, may add another sheet later, as time allows. You will notice my Fess'y 12 strg in the background with a ghostly look, this is intended. If you have any suggestions or changes or comments to make go ahead I have shoulders and I have not forgot how to laugh at anything. I would be glad to hear from anyone out there as crazy about steel as I am, bye for now, keep on a pickin ana grinin life is more fun that way. dick the steeler Laughing PS note using the lkl and rkr together gets a full C6th. could lock this.
