My, what a time we had in Branson at the Steel Guitar Show and Jam this past weekend! There were friends from Kentucky, Lousiana, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri and perhaps others that I've forgotten. The talent was supreme!!! The fellowship was fantastic!! The food was extrememly delicious!! If you didn't make this show, you really missed it!! As the old saying goes, "You should have been there"! Leonard Robertson and Chad Jones took the pain out of the musician's backs by bringing in all the equipment and taking it out! We especially thank these two friends!! They were a huge help!! It was a surprise to Mr. Buck Grantham when he saw the "Buck Grantham Day" sign and all the pictures beneath it.....pictures of him from as far back as 1951 through 2009. Both Buck and Mitzi received plaques in their honor. Though Buck is a few years my senior, he had a lot more strength and drive than I had. They were there from the opening of the first day to the closing song, which Buck played! And what a beautiful ending to those 2 days!! He played "Sweet Beulah Land"!!! Terry Bethel saw to it that there was a kind and happy atmosphere throughout the entire 2 days and the tall, dark and handsome Rob Parker helped out with the MC work! All the musicians were in good spirits and cooperated in a great way that Terry asked them to do. Charlie and Rosemary were certainly up to the demands at hand and everything ran smoothly. They kept the trains running on time and organized the beautiful potluck dinner! Thank you to all the people who brought that delicious food. You all are the greatest!! Enough can't be said about Bill Myrick and Eva for all they've done to make this show a success!! Bill and Eva and Buck and Mitzi adorned the dessert area with 2 beautiful cakes that carried the theme of the event. There was also an array of many different kinds of desserts and I did my best to taste all of them. Then I found it was hard to sleep on my stomach that night. Smile All in all it makes us anticipate what's gonna happen at our April jam!

We had a great time Saturday. Sorry we couldn't stay for Sunday, but with that being the last day of the month, I had to get home and send out statements for work. All the food and music was great. I was glad to see that Buck and Mitiz were honored. No one deserves it more than they do. Charlie and Rosemary seem to be doing a wonderful job for the club, along with all the other officers. Jerry and Venda, we will see you in Siloam.
