I just recorded my new CD at Systems Two in Brooklyn. It sounds great. Dave Easley is all over it and as you can imagine he sounds great. On his tune "A Visit to the Zoo" he played a great sitar intro and ending. Of course the sitar was played on steel, it was amazing. It should be out in a month and a half. Bob DeBoo played acoustic bass on it and also played great (of course)! The sax player and drummer are friends of mine from the NYC jazz scene: Matt Parker and Chris Higginbottom. I'll put up a post when it's released. This is of course another one of my jazz CDs not really a steel CD, but loaded with pedal steel!

Cool Jim! Looking forward to hearing it.
BTW it was great hearing your set with Chuck Lettes, and getting to hang out a bit at the SWSGA event! |

Dave had another cool idea we did. On the beginning of one of the tunes on my CD the great pianist Herbie Hancock played the intro on the original cut. Dave wanted to play that exact intro only I'd play Herbie's left hand on guitar and Dave played Herbie's right hand on steel. It came out cool!
See everybody in Dallas, Chuck and I and Barbara play late Friday so stay up. We are also playing in the non pedal room Friday.
