Well that's not right. His original post said it works, which I would take as a guarantee that it would not be DOA. Hope you get it worked out.

Well he claimed it worked and that was the end of our emails!

I have an offer to sell it as is and will do so. I have repaired many items, as I run a repair shop. Did not buy this to fix it! I have also owned these and know when one is not working,

if i had been told what was meant other than " I took it apart" things might have been different..whho knows what was done to it...I run a business as well but I dont tell people "buy my mod kit ..put it in and void your warranty""STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES.. "

Just hold on a second...

Ken is one of the most respected and honest men on this, or any other, forum. He does not lie!! You can take his word to the bank.

If think you need to back off on accusations for which you have NO proof.

no accusations are being made....i'm saying the man should have explained the situation clearer , we could have got this straightened out ..but instead he wants to start mud slinging..he may be the most honest man in the world but personally i feel like he could have explained things - i would have made it right even if it meant i had to send this to the factory to be repaired..funny thing to me is out of every thing i sold his comment was it didnt have a wet signal AFTER I TOOK IT APART..

Ditto what mike said. Ken is "TOPS" in this business and I have had several things trusted to him, including my "vintage" 1978 WEBB amp which is better than new! His mods are exactly what these old amps and processors need, not to mention his own tube/PtoP wired amps he builds. Ken is as honest as the day is long.
Really, all this for $25.00

Thats what gets me -- all of this over$25.00 all i ask for was an explanation as to the problem that i didnt quite understand..instead of this he'd rather mudsling.

My email clearly stated that it did not work. You clearly answered me wuth the following:

"I dont know what you want me to do...the unit worked when I checked it here before shipment".

The unit has been sold as is and non-working. I consider this matter closed

i apologize for stupidity in not knowing what you said about dry and wet signal.. when i ask for an explanation your reply was "I took it apart.tried factory reset,I got took" I dont want hard feelings now or ever , I ask for an explanation and instead you want to belittle me because I dont understand..My question to you is 'do you think i was not owed an explanation so maybe next time i have one of these or a similar unit i will know what to look for" I'll be the first to admit i dont know everything but i will do my dead level best to learn with help.

I thought my email was very clear, it did not work. However I trust that it worked for you, as stated. Things happen when they are shipped. The unit has been resold as is and I do not want to cause you any problems either. Let's just move on on!

Dave, just my thoughts here, but I truly think if Ken could have fixed it, he would have done so and just wrote off his losses without a word about it. He probably took it apart to see if he possibly could fix it. Ken is extreamely knowledgeable about electronics, and that's an understatement. I can't imagine anyone wanting to mod an LXP 5 for any reason, as they are really great units just as they are.

email to you 2-23

No effects at all. I have owned several. It is dry only. When the mix is moved to the wet side the unit has no output

email from you 2-23:

I dont understand dry vs wet signal.. I powered this unit up and it put out effect when hooked up..

email from you 2-24:

I dont know what you want me to do...the unit worked when I checked it here before shipment.

email to you 2-24:

Shall I dispose of this or do you want it back?

no further replies were ever made by you so I sent one last email 2-24 and received no response:

I will throw it out and you can keep the money!

I will consider myself taken

There we have it all, no further response or responsibility taken by you.
