You know, I just noticed that this jam is just the other side of Trenton, right? I can drive there from Northwest Philly in less than an hour. So I'm gonna try to come to this thing. I don't have BIAB or tracks, and I don't really have any solos worked up. So if I come, I'll just play along with whatever is there.
If anyone is interested, I'm playing steel with Byard Lancaster and the Blues Messengers in the Brotherly Love Allstar fest at the World Cafe Live, Saturday night, April 9th (http://tickets.worldcafelive.com/eventperformances.asp?evt=613). It'll be a whole evening of music, and we play last. Last time I checked it was 80% sold. | I would come to this gig but I like to play with guys that are at my level and I've seen First hand what Garylee can do! and it's not pretty. Thanks alot Paul.. now I feel even more comfortable about setting up next to guys of this caliber
The way I see it.. I have nowhere to go but up. Hopefully, I can learn alot from these guys.. I'm really looking forward to it.

| BobG, for whatever reason, Paul elevates me to this pedestal of expertise and as I fall, my head will surely bruise. John S. is hosting a jam, there is no prerequisite of "caliber." We are gathering to simple have some pedal steel fun and hide my miniature mp3 recorder behind Cohen's amp. |

| I'm a non pedal player. Possibly want to sit in and watch & listen(might learn a few licks). I'm entry level on steel but a decent rhythm guitar player. No one I know is having a jam on any kind of steel in my immediate area. Might consider the drive. |

I can't make this jam John, got to service my soccer player son on Sunday.
But I'll be playing in the area Saturday night with Joe Bayer and Tumbleweed at Prospector's Steakhouse and Saloon, Route 38 and Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ, 856 235 1121, if anyone is looking for some good music.

| I just returned home (after cutting out early) from the "Jersey Jam" at John Swain's house and I want to say a big "thank you" to John and his wife for opening up their home and hosting this event. It was a whole lot of fun to meet some new people and to spend time with familiar faces as well. And it wasn't strictly Jersey folks either; Pennsylvania and Maryland were also very well represented. There was a whole lot of great pickin' going on today in John's family room. Thanks guys! And thanks also to Bob G for operating the jukebox! |

| Thanks to the Swains for a dynamite day. Ron B., my non-pedal buddy was busy today, but the video came out good and I know he will enjoy seeing it. I only wish I knew more C&W to take my turn, but it's still fun harmonizing here and there. Bob, next time I will have to sit next to BIAB so you will play "School Days". If not, you will find your sneakers tied to the guitar leg. I hope we can do this again. |

Great Day!.. I'd like to jump in and thank the Swains'for putting up with us.
I would also like to apologize for the bands poor performance this afternoon. We had a late gig last night and the drummer in particular was not at his best.. He has assured me that this is the last time he will let his amphetamine
addiction affect his play. We'll have to wait and see.
Gary Lee .. What exactly was that you were eating for lunch ?

BobG, lunch consisted of portobello mushrooms marinated in Marcello wine, fresh tarragon and a tad of virgin olive oil, baked off with Amish cheese laced with onion. The side dish was chicken sausage stuffed with fresh, sauteed jalapeno peppers. yum yum |

| I had a great time at the " Jersey Jam" yesterday.It was my first time playing with other steel players, and i was plenty nervous being surrounded by so many awesome players.It got a bit easier for me as the day went on, and it seemed everyone was having fun. I heard alot of different styles, tones, and some very cool tricks and licks from all you guys. Thanks again to John and everybody else! Bob |
