It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of Dave Dube, brother of steel player Jerry Dube, who passed away last year.

Dave had just undergone heart surgery to replace a leaking valve, and was in ICU when he passed away tonight around 6:00 central time.

Dave was a good friend and a great bass player. He was the front man for his band The Fugitives, here in the Twin Cities area, and was well known in the area.

Funeral arrangements are pending and I will post information when it becomes available.

I was fortunate to be able to play rhythm guitar in Dave's band from time to time, even though I didn't know all the songs. He was always encouraging me to play and told me I was doing a good job. Dave was always willing to help when we had our jams and shows featuring the steel players in the area. He will be missed by all of us who knew him.

May God give peace and comfort to his family at this time.

Dennis

Dan called me last night to give me the sad news. Dave had a unique scence of humor.

My condolences to the family.

Thanks Dennis for Posting this on the Forum.

Uncle Dave will be missed greatly by not only his
family, but by the many friends he has also.

Dave's band the "Fugitive's" had a huge following around the Twin Cities area. Music was in his soul.

We know that He and Dad (Jerry) are jamm'in sweet music in Heaven. Love you Uncle Dave....

I will post Funeral arangements as soon as I get them.
