1960s GUYATONE D-8 console. Japanese copy of a Fender Stringmaster.

It works well. The only issues are a few dings in the body, and there is no case. Listen to the audio clips below!

Scale length is 22 7/8”.

All original parts. The 3 switches are on-off switches for each of the 3 pickups. They work well. Volume and tone controls also work fine, as do the tuners and the leg clutches.

The string spacing is slightly wider than a Stringmaster, which makes it very comfortable to play, in my opinion, and makes for easier bar slants. I’ve had a lot of fun playing this console guitar for the past couple of years. It’s been a cozy "workstation" in my music room, but I also have a Stringmaster and several other guitars so I don’t need this one anymore.

AUDIO CLIPS

Outer Neck (front)

----> How D'ya Do
----> Sand

Inner Neck (rear)

----> It Was A Very Good Year

$550 plus $25 shipping FedEx ground. USA Only. PayPal payment is preferred. Money order or personal check are okay too, but a personal check must clear before shipping, which would take several days.

The guitar is boxed and ready for shipping. There is no case, but it's in a sturdy box with lots of packing material.

For whoever bought this, I also have one with no case, found that a compound bow case works well as a gig bag (I paid $29 for mine at a Sportsman's Wearhouse). The "arrow pocket" holds the legs separately too.

Thanks for the tip Joe. I will look around and see if I can find one.
