Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Thanks to everybody who have helped.
Sometimes stand up and fight is the only way we have to resolve some kind of things.

Glad it worked out so far.

Let us know.

I do lots of business here with GREAT people here, from JW, Rayline, Bullseye, BJS, Duane and Jeff, Seymour, Fred J, and have NEVER had any problem with them. Many of them shipped the stuff BEFORE they got the money.

There only seem to be a couple less than perfect apples.

Smile

YES,
anyway it's not that they have written something like "sorry for the delay, or sorry for what you had to do, sorry for my last 6 months of silence", or other things. The mail just say that the pedal have been shipped.
Well, anyway, THANKS Ron, or Rebecca, the point was the shipping, all the other words you could have put in betweeen...it's only a matter of....personal way to communicate, get and stay in touch with customers, but this may be something extra for someone, I understand.....or, better, I pretend to understand. The main thing, the goal, is reached.
I feel 10 years younger now.
peace and love.

No Crowbeer,
nothing.
I just trust them. They said they shipped it. For me it's enough. I want to hope it's enough.
I repeat, the details, for some business men, are something extra... .
Let me take their words for good. Don't make me think again ! Smile Smile

Congrats Paolo!
I commend you on being such a gentleman thru this process.

I've seen similar things "magically" happen here before.

Before the Internet, and modern communication, many issues like this would go unresolved.

I look forward to your report on the delivery.

BTW, Welcome to The Forum.

It "happened" because of the members here on the Steel Guitar Forum who once again come through for a fellow steeler in trouble. There are many fine people here. . An apology is owed to you by the company for the poor customer service.

No, he won't get that apology.
I was also informed (after paying through paypal) that my order "will be shipped first thing in the morning"...... Well, the stuff only arrived three months later, dated about two weeks before it landed here!????
Emmons!!....never again.....

I've always maintained that the demise of the pedal steel guitar won't be caused through lack of interest from the players, but rather by the poor track record of the so-called manufacturers.

I do not know about Emmons co. now but years ago I bought all my first lessons from them. They were always right on the money. The secretary even told me about Jeff Newman selling chorses for pedal steel.
Every order came very promt and in good order. Could be times have changed.

Yes Nic, you're right.
But, let's say that I WANT to be positive.
I'd like to think that in a week I will be able to show you some pics of a wonderful guitar , as Emmons, usually, are . Smile

No Mr.Bill,....I don't remember asking for a Bar....but we are so few in Italy who play steel, maybe 5, it must have been one of these friend of mine.
So, if I need, I can ask you ? good.

Yes Olli, you're right too, I feel just like that, won a lottery, as I couldn't see the end of this story. We think we are very lucky. Lucky for the "hardware" part. For the other part, the "moral damage" my friend went thru, tormenting his mind from december 2008 till now, nobody can fix that.
So, let's think of our fortune just relating to the "hardware" question.
That's life.

Ciao Paolo,
You have every right to remain positive! Very Happy
Based on my recent experience with Bobbie at Emmons, I can tell you that If you got any type of reply from Emmons, and not a negative one, you can be sure that the steel will be shipped shortly if not already.
Anyway, I did get my stuff, and the despair felt during the waiting period, is now finally over! Very Happy
Ciao...

I sure am happy the guitar has been sent. I will say that I called Emmons Guitar Company on Monday concerning a problem with my own guitar. A lady answered the phone quickly, I asked the question and she went and got Ron. He came on the line and told me what to check for and made his recommendation. I had absolutely no problem with them answering the phone. I hope when you get the guitar it meets the satisfaction that it should. Best wishes.

IMHO, the only positive thing about the "newer" Emmons guitars is the name. EMMONS. Not talking about the great old push-pulls.

years ago I tried to order some parts for my guitar and that didn`t went too well, actually nothing happened, I never managed to get the answer from anyone, to make the long story short, ever since I just don`t buy or order anything from Emmons Co. ... every customer who order guitar from them and sends in thousands of dollars is asking for trouble... if you want an Emmons buy it from private party or at the dealers store, cash and carry is the only way to be sure you have your Emmons...
