I'm considering purchasing a Dekley Universal 12 but haven't been able to find much info about the company or that steel. I would appreciate any help and guidance on this matter.

I have 3 of 'em, A D-10, an S-10, and a S-10 student model.
They stopped being made a few years back. They are sturdy, sound nice, and weigh a lot.

Be sure to get the name right, it's DEKLEY.

Wow, that's a purty one! Shiny!. My underbellies are still somewhat stained from nicotine. Someday when I get courageous I hose 'em out.

Russ, that guitar is beautiful from ANY angle! Especially the playing position!! Laughing

Jack. if you want a U-12, a Dekley is a terrific choice. Solid as a rock, stays in tune and is very easy to work on and plays soooooo smooth. Once it's well set up, you will have a trouble free, very reliable, guitar.

(I bought Russ' Dekley pictured above and it will never leave my hands.)

I have an MCI, MSA and an Emmons, also...all U-12s, and although I love the Emmons sound, the Dekley would be my work guitar, without a doubt (if I still gigged).

You would be well served with a Dekley.

This is not to say that there are not other brands that are wonderful, too. But you asked about a Dekley, in particular.
