I'm not close enough for you to come by and see my Carpsteel, but if your looking for a great guitar for the money that will play smooth, sound great and not break your back or your budget, then a Carpsteel will do the job!
I got one to use on "Fly-Gigs" and coffee house gigs with some singer/songwriter friends and I can recommend it highly.

Thanks Victor, and everybody else that replied.
Boise is still a ways off for me. Maybe later this spring if I have a couple extra days in Spokane I might be able to pop down there.
I think one of my fender non pedals might go up for sale over in the other section pretty soon so I can order one of these here carpsteels. The weight sounds like it is the lightest thing going and the changer looks just fine.
I am awfully torn between this and the Stage One.
Could I trouble you to measure the distance center to center on the pedals? Some steels have pedals too close together for my clodhoppers (or more likely for my lack of coordination...).

Replied Terry Good to know there are a few of us around here playing! New to pedals, so it's comforting to hear there's a few players around this town!! Converting from non-pedal C6 to E9 pedal has been interesting...now I can't play C6 
Paul, distance from pedal center to center is just under three inches. I'm clumsy but doing well with them
