I'll rationalize this by pretending that I'm moving this along so that a better, more worthy player can have a shot at it. While that much would almost surely be the case, still it is with profound reluctance that I state:
1-1/2" pickup; single-line Kluson Deluxe tuners* likely original, 10-pole pickup, metal neck, one black flying saucer knob, one non-original knob, bottom white plates are flat (apparently stock.) No serial number. Pat. # 2089171. Pickup sounds great. A little hum, pots have lost 90% of their scratchiness with last drops of some 40-year-old contact cleaner. Old sheet music and case candy as pictured.
*--After a little deeper study, it seems there were two eras of Kluson single-line tuners. The first--as seen on this beast--don't have the shaft coming through the opposite side of the housing. These were used appx. 1947-52.
(The unevenness along the crest of the nut is paint loss, not metal.)
Forum price $1500 + actual shipping (I prefer USPS Priority Mail; origin zip 91214) includes PayPal charge. Will be higher if it goes to eBay. _________________ "Gopher, Everett?"
