Hi

Just a quick note to let everyone here know that Corkey Owens is making his final appearance this week with the Farewell Party Band.

Gene Watson's long standing steel player is currently on a cruise with Gene and other members of the band, also on the same cruise are Rhonda Vincent and The Rage. This cruise will be Corky's last engagement with the band.

Having got married in July 2009 Corky and his wife are moving home to another part of the USA.

That's just wrong! Corky has been a great addition to the band. He'll surely be missed.

Anybody want that job?

John and I met Corky at the fair in Gainsville, he sure is a great player. The road is not always what it is cracked up to be. Corkey enjoy the new life and stay well.

My Friend Kenny Hoover took the job.
Hard decision for Corky on one hand; but easy decision on the other that you can't make a living on 11,000 a year.

Wow! $11,000/365 = $30.14/day. Even at the $6/pack here, that's five packs a day! Whoa!
