Just finished restoring the amp:
All components, wiring, jacks, sockets, etc removed and chassis cleaned. Bottom side had surface rust. Cleaned and treated with Rustoleum galvanizing, baked in oven for a good finish.
Power transformer bells removed and cleaned, painted and baked in oven.
re-assembled and replaced:
-power tubes (JJ Telsa)
-Old stock rectifier tube
-bias supply diode
-8 pin tube sockets replaced with resistors on them new
-Bias cap, cathode bypass caps
-knobs
-lamp bulb
-new 3 wire grounded power cord
-New JD Newell correct cabinet
-Re-coned 1964 Jensen C10R speaker, period correct for this era amp
-Fender "F" cap for speaker wire
-tube shields
Sounds great, best tremolo I have heard in a while.
Does not require a foot-switch to operate tremolo, as does the Blackface era amps. A foot-switch may be used to turn it off.

| I used a Princeton just like that in the studio for almost 20 years. I made a LOT of money with that little amp. Brings back a lot of memories. Your amp looks great!!! |

What a deal, Ken! A '62 Princeton all gone through and ready to gig. Wow. I really wish I could swing it. Putting all my money away for Dallas. Whoever grabs this will be a lucky picker.

Just got in from playing down in Florida. I used two amps (as I usually do), a 1955 Pro clone but with a 12" speaker and the Princeton. OMG what a tone! Best night I have had playing in a long time. This little amps is a tome monster. Usually I use my 1955 Deluxe clone with the Pro. This little amp just whipped my 5E3 Deluxe!!!
She's a sweetie and I am going to have a hard time parting with it now!!! |

| i bought one of those new in about '64 ('63?) with a baby blue fender mustang.....my friend has owned it for years and swears it's perfect for his strat or tele all by itself. he won't sell it back. |
