The first 25 people who show up will each receive a free new "Steel Bar" protien bar.

They come in both chocolate and peanut butter. First come first served.

I'll be playing at the notorious "Lorretta's Lounge" in Fontana the night before, so I probably won't get to the jam in time for one of the 25 "bars". Maybe somebody can have some aspirin and possibly the hair of the dog waiting for me when I get there around noon.

Mike,

The protein bars are a good idea. For the first few San Jose jams, I provided a box or two of free donuts. Almost nobody ate them. The most popular commodity I provided over time was bottled water, and in second place was coffee. Live and learn!

Personally, I've found the chocolate bars slide a lot easier than the peanut butter.

How can any steel player resist a candy/protien bar called a "Steel Bar"?

Scotty might be selling them at the convention.

It's a gag for us, but actually these things are designed to be a healthy snack instead of just a sugar fix. They sell them at my local gym.

(I've been working out an hour a day, fighting the "battle of the Bulge" and have dropped 67 pounds over the last 8 months.)

Hey Mike...I know I'll get to meet you on Sunday , but I'm just curious...what kind of a routine do you have that let's you loose over 8 pounds a month ? The way your going, where will you be in...3-4 years ?
I could use to tighten my belt a notch or two. What's the secret ?
