75 model LDG I have been told they are 7/64 so I ordered a couple --not mine--my rods are almost twice that diameter. I have an M-5 0.8 die that will screw on one of my threaded ones.Any comments ? Thanks. Bill. |

I've always used 1/8" stainless steel welding rod and #5x40 die for threads ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Hi, I also have a 77LDG. I have changed a few rods, when I moved the LK levers 2" to the left. I used the wire you buy at Lowes, or Home depot, that are used to tie up the accoustic lay in cieling grid. It is so close in dia, that it works. If you have to thread it, use a 5/40 die. The thread size is not a metric size. And the wire is very cheap too. _________________ Sho-Bud LDG, Martin D28, Ome trilogy 5 string banjo, Ibanez 4-string bass, dobro, fiddle, and a tubal cain.
