This is really a small world, Downtown Montgomery had real wide sidewalks on Dexter Ave. Downtown, abot 25 feet wide, shopping districk was only 2 blocks long and looked up abot 7 blocks to the capital Bld, with a fountain at the base. So much sidewalk traffic you had to move over well befor you could enter a store, and on Sat, it was shoulder to shoulder. One sat morning we were downtown, I was 5 yrs. old at he time, when a man came upto me and grabed me, Dad came over and asked him what he was up to, The man told dad he wanted me to be a Member of the LITTLE RASKELS in the movies. This was real shocking but dad turned him down flat, wonder where we would have been if he had said yes.
I am very glad he said no , I would never have been connected with my music life If he had said yes. I know some movie carrers have been good but I like music much better. Several times in my life I have had achance to go in a new direction, but sure glad Musio is the one choose.

Ernie..
Your daddy was smart. With the child labor laws back then or lack of them, you would be just as old and broke instead of having a great wife and a life in music.
