I will be hosting a jam at my house 4/10 Sunday if any Delaware Valley steelmen would like to play.I have room for about 10 players to setup at a time and we could play to tracks or BIAB..If interested RSVP here or jwswain@optonline.net..note:this is not limited to any area if anyone feels up to a drive.NY,Ct,Md are not farther than we've all driven for gigs..JS

"feels up to a drive.NY,Ct,Md "

Well, that being the case along with a seat between DVA and Cohen, count me in at a 98.9%probability. I do enjoy a tenderloin, medium, scalloped sweet potatoes and braised asparagus tips all washed down with a full bodied Bordeaux.

He's the one with the GIG and he's "hurt"...

If you cancel the gig, Ben, they'll probably call me, and then what?

Hey John,
Thanks for the invite. What's the difference between a frog who plays trombone driving down the road and a steel player driving down the road?...The frog is driving to a gig! Unless something unexpected comes up (Caribbean or European tour, VFW Nutley) I'll be there, and than I can put the faces with the forum posts.
I owe you a phone call, we'll talk soon.

I might be done with the move by then . . .
But, I promise not to play PSG !
(If you were at the Bill Lawrence jams, you know why).
With all that is going on at the "home front",
I have not had the time to be able to get any better!
But, I would like to demonstrate the new "Dobro "G" Palm Pedal Assembly" . . .
If you guys are interested in seeing what I have come up with. . . .
I have two other Dobro workshops coming up with Jim Heffernan and Curtis Birch . . .
So, I could use a "Demo rehearsal" before those events. (Among friends!)

Hey John,

I'm afraid the last time I unpacked the steel was when we went up to Bill Lawrence's place in Bethlehem, but I'm willing to make a fool of myself again to hear all the great talent that will be there...count me in!

How long a ride do you think it is, from L.I. to your house? I would like to participate in this steel extravaganza. It sounds like a real blast!!

Bob, Swain might need some quality control on the grill as in medium rare to medium. If I'm gonna drive 6 hours round trip and get smoked by Cohen, DVA and all the rest, I can at least enjoy some first choice cuts, and not on sale either. Jalapeno poppers are a fairly good start too and washes down easy with a single malt. I'll bring the malts.

Gary, youll probably find me hiding in a dark corner somewhwere, but Ill have my ears wide open, takin in all cool steel sounds. It was at Johns house that i first laid my hands on a pedal steel a couple of years ago, so this will be awesome for me to see all these great area players jammin here so close to home. This kinda of thing dont happen here in Jersey too often!! Bbo
