Yesterday I had the pleasure of listening to Richard playing a jazz gig here in Copenhagen and Richard did a superb job ! Great playing, great sound, a super backup band and a good, relaxed feeling all over. Richard said from the bandstand, that it was absolutely un-rehearsed and that was hard to believe !
I don't think jazz gets much better than this !
I got Richard's CD "Moments Notice" there as well and I love it ! I can really recommend it !
Well done, Richard !
Ole

I’m glad I got out to that concert. Really good stuff.A steel player of that caliber in,!! Copenhagen!! And backed by a trio with forces from The Radio Bigband.
I’m kind of new to pedal steel, but when Richard played
one of my jazz favourites: Round About Midnight. Dig it!
Monk must’ve written it for pedal steel! I’ld never have thought about it. Great playing on Coltrane’s My Favourite Things!!, Moments Notice!!. If you see this, Richard, I just regret the famous bass player seemed a little too busy!
To interested folks, I’ll post some pics from the concert and the beautiful girl on the first row, what was her name now,.... ehh,.. Bethel, was it? Jeppe, I saw her first. It was nice to see a pretty face at a gig , not that all you men are'nt georgeous also.I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yeah Thomas Oveson (bass) was really rocking, those guys could play !!!! I hope I meet you again sometime . Did I mention the Irish steel guitar festival on 15+16th Oct? You should come , that SAS flight is cheap if you book on line well in advance . Thanks |

Hi Richard
I must say, very nice to meet you. I’ll try to make that October gig in Ireland. Meanwhile, I’ll post those photos from the concert (and the sexy girl on the front row), but I just have to learn a little "link-database" work at first! Jeppe |
