This is my first lap steel that I am selling
 This has a Ryan Rukavina bridge,Grover Mini-tuners,Lace Alumitone humbucker with a active tone pot.Its a six string set up for Open E tuning.I am asking $550.00 Shipping included for USA could ship to Canada but would need to check and see if shipping is considerable more. | Yes Tom those Alumitones do sound great.My main lap steel that I use has one also.I all most hate to part with one of those pickups,but if you don't put good parts on your builds, you are not going to get a rep for building quality steels.Ryan's bridges are great.The active tone pot also helps produce great tone.This has good tone and would make someone happy! So I am hoping I can sell this one and get started building to sell as I am retiring this year.35 long years in the building trades. |

It's a cool looking build. I like it, except for maybe the thorny parts -- but that is purely subjective. I think it looks really nice. The reason it is not moving is cuz it's custom and most of us are after collectables or top of the line boutique builds.
You might get more interest if you supply a sound sample with both the clean sound and the slightly distorted sound to show any versatility it might have. This doesn't have to be fancy. Borrow a good quality digital camera and record yourself playing it for a while. Post the best parts on YouTube and give us the link. Add some updated pics and comment again on the materials and re-issue the post. You'll probably get some bites.
