Not a concert, but one night after a gig, I channel-surfed past the Joe Franklin Show, and his guests were the Lennon Sisters and Elvin Jones.

Every Joe Franklin show was a mismatch, which was it's charm. I saw Patty Smith and Silvester Salone (when the first rocky came out) sitting next to each other on his couch.

This show was in 1972 or 1973 at the Spectrum in Philadelphia

Commander Cody & His Lost Planet Airmen
Chambers Brothers
Alice Cooper

Now that is a lineup that made no sense at all. Cody was great and after that I just enjoyed the strangeness of the crowd: Cowboy hippies, Phila. Soul lovers and weirdos for Alice.

In Toronto in the mid seventies: Headliner; Commander Cody and his LPA.
Warmup act: Lydia Pense and Cold Blood then Freddie King and his band. Felt sorry for CC.

I am always surprised that in most of the threads that refer to concerts; most of the replys have to do with rock concerts. Did any of you steel players listen to country music??? Just kidding....but my observation is accurate.
