Topic: Who is the best for Emmons push pull parts???? |

I am looking for a few parts for a push pull and funnily enough they are a little difficult to find in Australia.
I am trying to get some rod collars, aluminum spacers (both long and short) and some compression springs. Can any of you fine gentlemen lead me in the right direction to find the goods that I am searching for?

Justin, that would be great.
I have been learning pedal steel for about a year and a half and there is not a lot of support for push pulls over here. As there are no mechanics you have to learn how to fix your machine yourself. I have pulled mine apart once and after very, very careful labeling successfully assembled it again.
I tried an experiment yesterday, that is going from tempered tuning to straight tuning and this required some adjustments to the mechanics underneath. The experiment did not go so well and know I have to re-tinker with the machine. I was thinking that if I am going to spend a weekend working on the bloody thing I may as well do it properly and replace some springs and put in all the correct spacers and so on.
I have Clem's book and DVD on push pull mechanisms but for all his skill as a mechanic, his camera work is terrible and all of the pictures in the book are very dark as they are photocopies of photocopies.
To cut back to the chase, if I am laying flat on my back looking up at the complexity of the push pull with a small bowl full of spare parts I may just require your help.

If I can be of help to you, check out my website. To change to "straight across" tuning, you should not need to many mods to the setup.
