I don't see these for sale anymore so I was wondering if anyone would know what they are going for. This one is in great shape. I put a George L PF-1 pickup in it when I played it briefly 20 years ago. It has been in my closet since then and has seen very little playing time. The person I bought it from said they also only played it briefly. I don't know if you can see from the photos, but there is virtually no visible wear even on the pedals. It is a 3 & 4 E-9 Basic Emmons set up. In my opinion these are much better for a beginner than a student model as the pedels and knee levers can be easily changed. I have 4 guitars so I don't really need this one and my wife seems to think my music gear is taking up too much space. But that's a whole other topic.

This is an early Dekley ; one of my D´s is a # 78
of the S-12 model and it looks just like Yours,only
2 extra strings,of course ; the Dekley PSG´s have
always been reasonably priced on the second-hand
market but what Dekley owners have gathered from
day one,more & more players have gotten hip to over
the years:they´re extremely well-built guitars that
keep going while many others fall off by the road-
side,so...used Dekley PSG´s have,in many cases,
started to fetch slightly higher prices.McUtsi |

Great guitars . I still have one from the same time frame as yours. I have thought of selling it from time to time. But the overall market is down and I would say as a rule they bring less than they are worth. I have seen some sell for more than others but they still sell on the lower side of used non student guitars.
I am not willing to take what I think mine will bring at the moment is why I still have it and one of my MSA's . It is a buyers market. I did sell a Mullen and keep my MSA's because it would bring more money .
As for a student model or a Dekley like you have. It is like saying a sub compact or a full size sedan . There is nothing wrong with a student model , but if someone was looking for a guitar to start out on or play anywhere it could be done with the Dekley. I have never owned a student guitar but played several of them from several makers . I would think at time of resale you would loose less money ( if any ) on a pro model as well . I stick to older pro guitars like MSA and Dekley . Not a lot of difference in price but you get more for your money.
Of coarse this is just my opinion and not really worth anything but I would ask a little less than what I see MSA classics Selling for. Ask a little more that you will take and see what happens. Check out the Dekley forum and you can see a couple that sold on ebay and what they brought.
