I have had a couple Nashvile LTDs and a few Rittenberrys, And just got my New Old upgraded one Whoa! man what a steel, love it, but never a LaGarritt. All were great playing sounding steels . Gary is a master steel builder in my opinion. Like to hear you on it.

I have a LaGarritt S-10 with a 1/2 pad. It is 4X5 and is stunning to hear & play. Personally, I think that Gary's guitars are the closest that you can get to the push-pull sound with an all-pull guitar.

If I can find the pics of mine on the forum, I'll post them again.

I was tempted to purchase that D-10...but I don't play any C6.

ENJOY IT!!!

Casey

I bought one (SD10 3x5)for $900 as my first steel (second if you count the carter starter that I had for a week and had to return). Boy did I luck out. Ive gotten alot of compliments on its tone ,assuming the tone is coming from the guitar Devil . it is well built and solid and never ever goes out of tune or breaks a string. reasonably light weight. wish I had a picture here at work to post. maybe tonight. its a great guitar

I know that some discussion exists about the quality issues after Gary sold NV LTD production. I don't really know how to spot the differences. Can anyone tell me the difference in appearance, parts, etc?

Thanks for any info you can offer.

Ive never seen a Naylor LTD. I have heard the horror stories tho.I wont comment on the Naylors because without firsthand knowledge i would just be adding onto rumors Ive heard.

I can tell you that the underside of a guitar built by Rittenberry is clean, well organized, the parts are consistant, there are no weird screws or cobbled together elements...its a neat tidy, shiny, precision mechanism under there.

I can also tell you that Gary was able to confirm that the guitar was one he built by the serial number before I made my purchase, so i guess thats the best way to tell for sure. Get the serial number and contact Gary.

i have a feeling there are not too many of the Naylor LTDs still out there. I recall an esteemed psg repairman tellng me he had tried to repair one and had to give up because it was beyond hope. ouch.
