ALL OTHER STANDs ARE VERY GOOD, BUT, that one came off outstanding.

Here is how they are made. I go to Lowes when they get in a new shipment of 1x12,s, spruce and pick out the ones that are closet to C grade lumber, all are cut to size , sanded smoothe, Placed in the jig, the holes are marked with sharpie, carried to the drill press, and the holes are counter sunk, sanded again, then they are glued with the best glue, Then I use #9 3 1/2 hex screws guaranteed to last forever, 2 screws are at each joint, then sanded again, holes filled, hinge is put on, then primed. The finish I use now is black with white high lites, micro dots. Each stand painted finish cost $8. and it is a hard finish.
At the Florida meeting I place my steelking on a stand and then sat on it, Clyde snapped the picture.
about 245 LBs.

Hey Ernie, I can't believe that after 70 years,
I've finally won something, and that is great.
Your amp stands sure look nice, and I hope it
will make my playing sound a little more like yours.
Thank you very much. I'll put it to good use. Smile Smile Smile
I want to play like you do on the video you gave me.

Your friend.
Carl

I have one of Ernie's stands and use it every time I play. BTW, Ernie, I'm thinking of you and the girls going through an operation again. Good luck to you. Larry
