I lived in Asheville, NC in '01-'02, but I missed the opportunity to visit Bryan.
Silly me! ; it's a bit too far now! _________________ Roger Rettig: Emmons D10, B-bender Teles and Martins - and, at last, a Gibson Super 400!

Bryan reconditioned a PP for me about a year ago and as usual, did a great job on it. He takes his work very personal and does everything "the right way". |

I have been to Bryan's also and concur with everything that has been said. Sounds like you guy's had a Mini convention of sorts. If I had known you were all going, I would have dirven the bus and sat outside and listened through the window if I would have had to, just to have been there. Heck, i would have paid to go. For a fee, I wonder if we could talk Bryan into doing a half day or day seminar of questions, answers, and picking. I need some new licks. He could get a place to do it or just have it at his home and limit the number of people. Sounds like a win win situation. We have a blast and Bryan pockets some moola. Think about it Bryan, just don't plan it until the spring. It can get awfully cold and snowy in Mt. City in the winter.. |

Mike, I think I may be able to make the jam next Saturday. I was playing the last time in NC and couldn't make it. I don't have any regular gig's on the 5th Saturday's, so everything looks good as of today. I will spread the word to a few guys, including Loveday.
Looking forward to it.

I met Bryon , back in Va 35 yrs ago... he played on some tracks there ... I've seen some of his work and it seems that he has a knack for all steels not just P-P's ... I would like to see him get some recognition for what he can do ,, he's just one of the few guys that really can get a guitar working well. Also , Buck Reid, Tommy Cass, Albert Johnson and Jim Milewski do great things on P-P's JF |
