I'm wanting to start on the other neck now and know nothing, zero, not one thing about the C6 neck.
Any recommendations from folks that have tried more than one instructional cd or dvd. Email me directly if you feel more comfortable rating some of the material.

Thanks,
Dennis

Buddy Emmons "Basic C6th" is a wonderful course. He has closed down his web site but I still have them in stock.

I will second Jim's comment that the BE C6 course is the best place to start. Very easy to comprehend and leaves you with a lot of useful things to build on, get em' while they are still available.

BE is my idol. that being said the Jeffran course Jeff has is without a doubt the FASTEST AND EASIEST INTRUCTON to get you playing C6. I have used both and both are excellant. JMO Fred

I need to clarify my post. If you want to be able to play fills and swing stuff, chord progessions, intros, etc. I believe Jeffs Swing courses are the quickest way to get you out playing with a band and doing chord progressions and etc. He teaches it just like he taught E9 and it is not hard. He limits the course to 3 pedals and one knee. If you want as good as it gets study of the C6 neck and how it works you can't do better BE,s. Jeffs course doesn't teach you songs. The others do. I don't think Jeff is the only teacher out there by any means but he is a great teacher. Herb Stiener and Herby Wallace both have super courses for C6 as does Doug Jernigan. Just some things to consider. JMO Thanks Fred.

All of the greats started out on console, and learned where things were without pedals. Later, they used pedals.

I have most of the C6th courses on hand. The first course that I recommend to start on is Duane Becker's Beginner's C6th course because it compares where the same chords are from E9th to C6th and has good exercises to get you going. Next would be the Buddy Emmons Basic C6th course, then both Herby Wallace courses, then Doug Jergan's courses. Jeff Newman's C6th courses have a different approach which I personally am not fond of. Don't know about herb Steiner's course.
