Hi Everyone,
As some of you already know, I don't get to do a whole lot of steel playing because I have some pretty severe nerve damage in my right arm and it sort of robs me of being able to play ... but there are times I can get through it and when I can, I love playing what I'm able to. Smile

A little while back, I had this link in another thread under a different subject, but here in the last few days, I've received some email requests asking me to please post the link here in "Steel On The Web" and share it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rc3V5RcDKjc

There are many beautiful renditions of Blue Jade already posted, so I was a bit reluctant to add mine in amongst them. The track I used is relatively short and my effort here is pretty humble ... but, by request, here it is. Smile

Another great job Jim, I always enjoy your picking, and envy it at the same time. I've only been playing about 3 years, so I have a lot to learn. If only we was closer, I'd gladly pay for some of your knowledge of Steel Guitar. Larry B.

Thank you, Eddie & Charlie ...

And, yep, I do lower my 7th to E. It's a handy little pull that I like a lot. Smile

I don't know exactly how to say this, so I'll just do the best I can. I had the privilage and really true honer of receiving a phone call from Jim Lindsey, and I can say that I feel like I have known him forever. Had a great conversation, talked steel, and I'm proud to say that Jim is going to be a great new friend of mine. I look forward to meeting Jim in Dallas in March. Larry Baker

Ken, Joe & Dale ... thank you so very much for your kind words and comments. They're greatly appreciated.

Larry, thank you so very much for your post here. The feeling is mutual and I thoroughly enjoyed our phone conversation. You know what they say; put two steel players together in person or on the phone and it's like turning two mad scientists loose upon the world. Smile

I look forward to meeting you in person at the Dallas show and look forward to hearing you play. Smile This will be my first time back to the Dallas show (or any steel show) since, oh, around 1992 I think ... I'm going to feel like a kid in a candy store. Very Happy
