Here's a cut from Capitol LP ST 1664 with some Curly Chalker on it. In no way does Chalker dominate this album and although his playing is great, there aren't any new Chalker riffs that are not already covered elsewhere. I've got the album converted to CD so email me if you want a copy real cheap and we can work something out.

HI GREG,

Thanks for the tune.

By the time I found this Merle Travis album in 1970, I had already bought "Big Hits On Big Steel".
I could tell Curly wasn't able to hit those lower notes that he had later on his D-10 Fender 2000 guitar. Smile

To all:

The album I got is pretty clean, no skips and only very minor scratches in a few places. The CD copy sounds 100% as good as the LP. The deal is just send me $1 and a self addressed mailer with return postage or stamps and I'll get a copy out to you!

Gregg,
Thank you for the sample.
One small request:
Could you repost the cut in a format other than a wma file?
WMA files are difficult to convert to MP3 or a format i-Tunes on a Mac can read.

Jay, I'll try to post it in mp3 in a bit after I get home. Windows Media Player has a free converter that also rips CD's in your choice of mp3, wma, wma VBR, wav and wma lossless.
