I picked up a 70's Session 400 this past weekend on CL.
No speaker, and the baffle has seen some water damage... but I threw a speaker in there just to test the amp.
There was a reverb tank in the back, but with no tank bag. It was screwed directly into the cab, and I was told it didn't work.
Anyway, when I got the amp home, I hooked up the Reverb, and it works fine.
It is a 3 spring Accutronics with RCA jacks.
I want to try it with my Twin Reverb (currently has a two-spring tank).
Are these Reverb tanks directly transferrable/swap-able?
Both have RCA jacks. |

They are not all the same, go to the accutronics website, and check the number on the Peavey tank. The Twin should have 4AB3C1B. The 3 spring tank for a Twin is 9AB3C1B. The numbers designate the impedence, mounting position, and whether the input and or output are grounded. |

I have tried this interchange. It does not work. Also I don't believe this is an original tank in the Session 400. It came with a two spring long tank.
Accutronics has been bought by Belton in Korea, so I don't know if the information is still up on the Accutronics site or not. If not, try www.newsensor.com. They carry the replacement tank you need. _________________ LeGrande II, Nash. 112, Fender Twin Tone Master, Session 400, Harlow Dobro, R.Q.Jones Dobro |
