I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas and we at Billy Cooper's sure wish everyone a blessed new year.
I am attaching several pictures to let you see how well Buddy is doing. (Please pardon the poinsettia growing out of Buddy's head:\) He and Kay Lee asked us to send their best wishes along to you and much appreciation for all your prayers and concern for them.
Buddy has been doing a lot of teaching in the last several months and we are already scheduling him on into 2010. He also is still playing for congregational singing in our church and is feeling quite well. I think the pictures speak for themselves.
God's blessings to each and every one of you!

Happy New Year! You certainly helped make last year happier, and I look forward to seeing you for more this year. I hope Billy and you are well, and finding joy and contentment in this season.
By the way, do you have news about the Christmas album that Billy was recording?
Thanks so much for your kind support.

And a most Happy New Year to the Coopers and Charletons,
Joe (posted above), and I loved our visits this past year, and I'm sure we'll be planning our 1st 2010 visit soon, both for our next Buddy lesson and some quality time in your terrific store with you and Billy.
Meanwhile my thoughts and prayers are with you and everyone there.

Wanda, My wife and I have played Billy and Buddy's Gospel Songs on our gospel program on steelradio.com many times. We have a gospel DJ program (The Hanleys Gospel Hour) the second Sunday of every month from 2-4 p.m. central standard time. I've been an ordained minister for over 50 years and my family traveled with me in evangelistic work over 30 years on the road. Before that I pastored in Kansas. I heard Earnest Tubb was going to be in Wichita, KS and I had 3 or 4 Troubador albums and I was anxious to see Buddy Charleton. I got there early enough to beat the bus there and it was terribly cold. Buddy brought his steel in and poured lighter fluid on his strings and lit it up with a cigarette lighter to warm it up. He played a lot of "hot" licks on his steel that night. Since that time I got to see Buddy once at the St.
Louis show. I used to listen to his albums over and over and I've jokingly said he was my teacher. I wish I could have taken lessons from him, but those E. Tubb albums taught me a lot. Please convey my thanks to him! I'm happy to hear that he's playing in your church! That's great! Steel Radio has given us access to all their gospel CDs and Buddy and Billy have a lot of songs on there. Have they recorded any new ones? God bless all of you in this New Year!! _________________ Jerry and Venda |

My prayers and heartfelt thanks for his hours of teaching, and his example in life in general.
Not just in helping me feed myself for quite a few years but to bring me through the toughest times of my life in the last couple years.
Thank you Mr C.
