hey everybody, I'm all ready to pull my guitar apart and put in 3 LKL's for the back neck, but I have one concern that I'd like to ask about while I'm switching things around. My rkr is pretty standard i think. It lowers string 2 on the e9 neck a whole step w/ a feel stop, and string 9 a half step. It also raises string 4 a half step on the c6th. I like these functions, they seem to make sense and feel natural,, only thing is, on the c6, I don't like having to pull on a lever with that much travel, and varying degrees of tension just to raise a half step (and often). Unless I can come up with a better way, I'll put that change on the LKV lever, but I'd love to hear other's thoughts on the subject. ~ thanks

Brett, see if you can have someone put a crossover switch on there for you. Like it is on the Fulawka; you pull a rod that disengages the lever action on the E9th when you want to play the c6th

Here is something easy to try. Tune the A string raise to B (whole step raise instead of half step). If you get lucky, the half stop will be real close to B flat. That is much easier pull than you have now. Also, the full step raise, A to B, is useful.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I've thought about the hand lever option, but it seems a little overboard for a small problem to me, and I don't want to get too far away from the majority of guitars made. I'm sure it would work great though. I will definitely try EB's suggestion! I have the same type of thing on my RKL,,, a feel stop for the sixth string lower which also seems to raise the first string a perfect half-step.
