I wandered into this page today and thought the folks here might find it useful. It contains a true wealth of information about vacuum tube, or valve as you like, electronics. Practical and theoretical content is available at all levels of expertise. It consists of old electronics and tube texts with expired copyrights. They are all scanned into PDFs available for free download.
Sorry if this is a repeat, but I couldn't find a search that found this link:
Technical Books Online.

Hello Jamie;
WOW!! What a wealth of info for a " tube degenerate like myself " to wander thru..
Thanks for providing this. I will be reading for a while on this..Ron _________________ "Tone is in the hands. Unless your wife will let you buy a new amp. Then it's definitely in that amp."
We need to turn the TWANG up a little
It's not what you play through, it's what you play through it.
They say that tone is all in the fingers...I say it is all in your head
