Damn......Just saw this. Did that happen? Thought they said Lyle Lovett was on. Jason is a really good singer and some fine tunes. |

My TV guide says Lyle Lovett is guest??? WAS Jason Allen on??? If so was it the show that Tom Green was doing his thing at Gruene Hall? Who was playing steel for Jason? Someone who actually saw the show chime in. |

Lyle Lovett was indeed the performer. I taped the ending. No Jason Allen. Lovett had a keyboard, electric guitar, two drummers, and a bass (I think Moses was the player). |

I believe the bass player was none other than Lee Sklar. |

Lee Sklar is on my list of top 5 bass players of all times. Ever since I heard "Doctor My Eyes" I was hooked. He's an old hot rod nut too. I saw him and one of cars in a magazine article some years ago.

We were at the taping at Gruene Hall of Jason Allen for a segment of the Tonight Show and they told us the air date would be around Feb 25. |

I like to watch Lyle when Buck Reid is with him; when Buck is there everything cooks. |
