I'll be taking delivery of a solid mahogany Weissenborn style guitar from George Boards in a few weeks, and I'll need a case (preferred) or gig bag for it. One option is the Goldtone case, which seems available for about $120. Does anyone know whether the George Boards Weis will fit the Goldtone case?

I'm also interested in knowing of other options, so please reply if you have information about cases or bags that will work with this guitar. Will consider buying a used case if one that can work is available.

Thanks,

Cliff

It should fit fine, but you can check with George and Gold Tone to be sure. A quick search shows that some people have used a classical guitar case with the center pocket removed (so the neck fits). I have no idea whether that affects the stability of the case, though.

GoldTone Weissenborn cases are available through lots of dealers for $110. I was able to buy a generic Weissenborn case through a guy on eBay for a bit less than that, and it fit my generic "Wishenborn" just fine.
