Greg Booth is a fabulous Alaska-based resophonic player. He has pioneered the (hi-to-low) DBGDBE tuning and does some wonderful chord melody playing with it. Here's a link to a high-res video of Greg's version of "I'll be home for Christmas."

I see that hot picking is keeping your hands warm, but I guess you need that blanket on the floor to keep your feet warm and the Santa hat to keep your head warm up there. Those floors must sure be cold. OOPS that problem may not be a laughing matter.
I enjoyed it much, Greg.
Aloha,

Man Greg,
You sure make it look easy, love the hat!
Hopefully after the holidays I will get back on that capo project and get one up to AK for a test drive.
Merry Christmas to ya!!

CHRISTMAS SONG is what could be described as a "musicians" song unlike RUDOLF, FROSTY, ad nauseum, with (generally) a simple 4 chord structure. What a superb job using only 6 strings, no pedals ! A couple of things I noticed were the type of bar you are using and the neat string pulling technic behind the bar. You pulled a lo string which tells me you are probably using a very light gauge set. Nothing less than EXCELLENT ! |
