Mike Daily. He's from San Marcos Texas. He's been part of the Ace in the Hole Band before George Strait came along and as soon as George got a record deal, Mike and the other band members became George's backing band. Mike plays a Zumsteel, but he's also played an Emmons too.

Paul was on ocean front prop. record, boy some great steel playing that was hard to beat that work.

Just FYI, he also played a Sho-Bud.When he started out.I saw the video to "Amarillo by Morning", when they did clip of the band, I say ayoung Mike Daily playing a Sho-Bud, Super pro. I believe.

I remember that too. "Amarillo By Morning" was a great video. I couldn't tell what brand of steel Mike played in "The Chair" video, but in the "If I Know Me" video, he played an Emmons cause there's a closeup of the fretboard during the second chorus.

Yes Brett, he was playing an Emmons by then. I remeber seeing George in Baton Rouge in 1991 at LSU.
About the time If I Know Me came out. Mike was playing an Emmons.
